Film Academy

Film Academy

Georgia has been working with Emily Barber, North east filmmaker and owner of Striding Edge Films, and cultural project manager Fiona Fitzpatrick, on this year's Young Women's Film Academy. Visit the project page for more info.

The final films have the working title of "All About Me Mam", and working with the young women, all aged 13-18, has been a real inspiration. They're very interesting people, are working together as a film crew brilliantly, and will definitely be churning out some very thought-provoking films about mother-daughter relationships.

Most of the girls have never picked up a camera before let alone considered the processes required to make a film. Their speed at learning is pretty breath-taking. Follow Georgia's tweets from Haus Projects for weekly updates on the workshops.
