SXSW Interactive
Beckie is traveling with an Arts Council delegation to SXSW Interactive Festival in Austin, Texas. The trip is part of iShed and Arts Council's Creative Producers Development Programme, and we're delighted to have been selected to attend SXSW and the producer's Summer School in June at the Pervasive Media Studios. The programme brings together producers working across art-forms with a thirst to expand their network and produce cutting-edge digital projects.
Other exciting people selected to be part of the delegation include: Laura Sillars, Site Gallery; Chris Horkan, Oh Productions; Julianne Pierce, Blast Theory; Urmala Jassal, SAMPAD; Matt Davenport, Broadway; Mat Trivett, Trampoline: Agency for Art and Media and LAB; Tanuja Amarsuriya, Theatre Bristol and Inbetween Time; Rachel Coldicutt, Royal Opera House; Marcus Romer, Pilot Theatre; and Isabelle Croissant, Cornerhouse.
Microsoft's Imagine 2011
Georgia is tour producing for award-winning audiovisual group The Sancho Plan, who are performing their live show for Microsoft's marketing leadership summit Imagine 2011 at the Microsoft Conference Centre in Redmond, just outside Seattle, Washington. The conference takes place Weds 30th and Thurs 31st March, and is focused on exploring latest trends in creativity and technology, and innovation in advertising.
Speakers include Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer, computer scientist and author Jaron Lanier, Hollywood-heavyweight Ron Howard, and Jessica Greenwood from Contagious Magazine. The conference is a private event, but content from the two days will be available online here shortly afterwards.
