FutureEverything 2010 - Special Projects

Haus managed three special projects for the award-winning international festival of art, music and ideas; FutureEverything in Manchester. We worked alongside the festival team to deliver The City Debate - a television-style debate about the future of Manchester; the inaugural FutureEverything Award Gala; and PlayEverything - an event comprising 12 hours of workshops, performances, unconference sessions and installations, bringing together artists and geeks, and introducing people to the wonders of the digital space.

After 15 years, Futuresonic is now FutureEverything, and the festival took place from 12-15 May. The festival shows premieres of astonishing artworks, an explosive citywide music programme, visionary thinkers from around the world, and awards for outstanding innovations

Other highlights of the festival included GloNet, a Globally Networked Event connecting cities in 5 continents live, an installation of The Eyewriter collaborative research project, numerous interactive art exhibitions, a secret large-scale urban intervention by Agents of Change, and music performances by Ryoji Ikeda, Omar Souleyman, Animal Collective and Rob Hall.
