Northern Lights Film Festival - Lets Make Mischief

Northern Lights Film Festival - Lets Make Mischief

Haus event managed a city-wide treasure hunt on Saturday 27 March, to mark the closing night of the Northern Lights Film Festival in Newcastle.  Let's Make Mischief, the game, began as an online viral project, with members of the public signing up to investigate the mysterious actions of fictional character Ted Hex - a disgruntled film maker - who has had his film turned down by the festival year after year.  Ted Hex stole the festival's closing night film 'Kick Ass' and it was up to the treasure hunt teams to find the lost cans round Newcastle city centre before the evening's screening.

Haus worked with creative media company Mere Mortals and writer Ian Fenton to develop this innovative pervasive game, which had teams scouring for clues and challenging 'targets', hoping to be the first to return to Tyneside Cinema with the film cans, and win VIP tickets to the preview screening of Kick Ass.
