Songs from the Shipyards
We provided consultation on the development of the Tyneside Cinema's sold out audiovisual show 'Songs from the Shipyards', performed by Mercury Music Prize nominees The Unthanks, with film accompaniment by internationally acclaimed filmmaker Richard Fenwick.
The project was inspired by amazing archive footage of the North East between 1900 and the present day, held in the BFI National Archive and Northern Region Film & Television Archive, combined with traditional shipyard songs written over the past 100 years.
